Deadline to Apply for Agriculture Innovation Accelerator Award

In 2013 the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce created the AVCC's Agriculture Innovation Accelerator Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize and support innovative spirit in the agriculture industry. The award recognizes outstanding agriculture and agri-food related innovators including producers, processors, suppliers and organizations. The award is intended to help the winner move their project forward to the next phase of development. This award is the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada, and more than $130,000 cash and in-kind services have been awarded to the winners since the inception of the prize! Thursday September 21st the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce (AVCC) will host a Town Hall meeting to help inform businesses in the Annapolis Valley about the Proposed Tax Changes that will have significant impact on all Annapolis Valley businesses and our economy.

AVCC will have an expert panel on hand to answer questions and clarify how these proposed changes will affect your business.

President Jeremy Lutes says, “Over 90% of AVCC’s membership of nearly 400 are small and medium sized businesses, we need to make sure they  are informed. “

MP’s Scott Brison from Kings Hants and Colin Fraser from West Nova have been invited to attend.
