Annapolis Valley, N.S., August 22, 2016
The Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce has been advocating to local municipal governments for many years to reduce barriers to economic development. Development of industrial and business parks in the Valley is key to attracting new businesses. The barriers to locating here need to be minimized, and land needs to be “shovel-ready.”
The County of Kings has recognized this need and has efficiently moved forward to provide the zoning, lot division, and access that is needed at the new Cambridge industrial park on the former municipal airport site.
President of the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce, Paul DesBarres, says “We congratulate the County of Kings Council on taking action to show we are ready for growth.”
The Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce represents nearly 400 businesses and their employees, from Hantsport to Lawrencetown.
