NEW MINAS, N.S., NOVEMBER 7, 2016
On November 7, the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce attended the announcement by Hon. Scott Brison and MLA Keith Irving about the progress toward making the Granite Drive exit from Highway 101 in New Minas a reality. MLA Irving announced the exit is scheduled to be completed by 2018. This progress is due in large part to the investment of federal infrastructure dollars.
The Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce has been advocating for completion of this exit since 2005, and congratulates the Province of Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada on the cooperation and planning it has taken to move forward with this project. AVCC President, Paul DesBarres, says “Allowing for the more efficient movement of people around a primary shopping district benefits many businesses in this area of the Valley.”
The Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce represents nearly 400 businesses and their employees, from Hantsport to Lawrencetown.
